The 'ULTIMATE' Exterior Coating

AM‑VI‑CO Liquid Vinyl Siding™ has been beautifying homes and businesses across America since 1985. It has earned the trust and respect from property owners and contractors alike. This maintenance‑free coating system offers many of the benefits associated with conventional vinyl siding at a fraction of the cost of new siding. Coat once with Liquid Vinyl Siding™ and never paint gain, this exceptional coating can last a 'lifetime'!

10 to 15 times thicker than ordinary paint, Liquid Vinyl Siding™ is a two‑part coating that conforms to the texture of the surface creating a rich and elegant appearance with a natural looking finish. Liquid Vinyl is a two‑part coating that offers the advantages of vinyl siding without hiding the characteristics of the substrate or altering the home's architectural integrity. And unlike regular vinyl siding, it has no seams and gives the appearance of a freshly painted surface which is why Liquid Vinyl Siding™ is approved in historic districts and communities that do not allow traditional vinyl siding.

Keeping a fresh coat of paint on a home is critical to protect its exterior and prevent the siding from deteriorating. Most people don't paint often enough. Due to the expense, many homeowners wait until the paint is cracking and peeling and the home is looking bad before repainting. Unfortunately weathering may have already damaged surfaces that will prevent the next coat of paint from holding up for very long. The dilemma homeowners face is whether to constantly repaint or make the home maintenance‑free by purchasing vinyl siding. Vinyl siding is expensive and many parts of the house that can't be covered will still need to be painted such as columns, railing and decorative trim. Traditional vinyl siding only comes in a handful of ordinary colors and leaves unsightly seams that makes the home look artificial. Problems can develop behind the panels that usually are not discovered until they are extensive and typically very costly to repair. The open space behind the panels creates a perfect breeding ground for insects. Coating with Liquid Vinyl Siding is a practical solution; it's a permanent coating that looks like paint and provides the beneficial features of vinyl siding.

The LVS Coating System

Vinyl Proprime Vinyl Pro‑Prime Base Coat™ is an integral part of the LVS Coating System. It is a special primer containing vinyl activators and powerful adhesives that fuses the coating with the substrate. It prevents the vinyl from peeling and prepares the ideal surface to coat over. Vinyl Pro‑Prime Base Coat™ has exceptional gripping ability that will adhere to a variety of substrates, even those that may not hold regular paint.

A Superior Coating

Acrylic paint is only expected to last 5 to 10 years, and that's only if it is applied correctly. Latex paint lasts less time! Painters often cut corners that cause it to wear out sooner. The reason why paint wears out so quickly is because it lacks some crucial properties needed for it to withstand harsh weather and the beating it takes from the sun. There are four critical properties an exterior coating needs: Breathability, High Flexibility, Full Memory Retention and ability to Shed Water. Regular paint lacks durability because it lacks several of these properties. It may look good after being first applied but soon looses its effectiveness. Liquid Vinyl Siding™ is unique because it possesses all four of these properties.

Conventional paint contains as much as 74% liquid and only a small amount of solid matter. The liquid portion evaporates out as it dries leaving only the small amount of solid matter to form into the paint film. A typical coat of paint is tissue paper thin, about 1/1,000 inch thick. In comparison, a sheet of common copy paper is about 4/1,000 inch thick, four times thicker. This is why paint wears out so quickly and cannot adequately protect the surface. Liquid Vinyl is a high viscosity coating with about 70% solid matter. It is ultra thick and can provide decades of protection. It is made with vinyl resins that creates good breathability and sheds water away from the surface that can prevent mold from forming inside the home. With over 600% elasticity, Liquid Vinyl Siding™ will bridge a gap up to 1/8 inch. Sealing cracks and openings in the siding eliminates drafts and can make the home more energy efficient.
