The 'ULTIMATE' Exterior Coating
Since 1985 AM‑VI‑CO Liquid Vinyl Siding™ has been beautifying
homes and businesses across America. Over the past three decades this spray on vinyl coating has earned the trust and respect from property owners and
contractors alike. Liquid Vinyl Siding™ is a maintenance‑free coating that offers many of the benefits associated with conventional
vinyl siding at a fraction of the cost of new siding. Coat once and never paint again: This exceptional exterior coating
lasts more than thirty years!
At 10 to 15 times thicker than ordinary paint, Liquid Vinyl Siding™ conforms to the texture of your siding for a
rich, elegant, and natural look. Our ultra-thick, two-part coating system provides all the benefits of vinyl siding. However,
unlike traditional siding, it preserves the original characteristics of the substrate and protects your home's
architectural integrity. With the appearance of a freshly painted surface and no unsightly seams, Liquid Vinyl is
widely approved in historic districts and communities that do not allow traditional vinyl siding.
A fresh coat of paint is a home's first line of defense, protecting the exterior and preventing the siding from deteriorating. Most people don't paint often enough due to the expense. Homeowners usually wait until the home starts to look bad with cracking and peeling paint before repainting. Unfortunately, weathering may have already damaged surfaces, preventing the next coat of paint from holding up for very long. The dilemma homeowners face is whether to constantly repaint or make the home maintenance‑free by purchasing vinyl siding. Vinyl siding is expensive and many parts of the house that can't be covered such as columns, railing and decorative trim will still need to be painted. Traditional vinyl siding is limited to a few basic colors and creates unsightly seams, often giving a home an artificial, 'plastic' appearance. Damage can develop unseen behind the panels, often remaining undiscovered until it becomes extensive and costly to repair. Furthermore, the void behind the panels creates an ideal breeding ground for insects. Coating with Liquid Vinyl Siding™ is a practical solution. Combining the beauty of traditional paint with the weather-resistance of vinyl, this permanent coating offers a 'best of both worlds' solution for your home.
The LVS Coating System

Vinyl Pro‑Prime Base Coat™, an integral component of Liquid Vinyl Siding, is a special
primer containing vinyl activators and powerful adhesives. It is the backbone of the coating system
that fuses the vinyl to the substrate and prevents peeling. Vinyl Pro‑Prime Base Coat™
sticks where others fail. Its unique formula adheres to almost any substrate, providing the perfect
surface for a long-lasting exterior finish.

home's exterior. Permeable and weather resistant, Liquid Vinyl Siding™ is a low-VOC product,
fully compliant with - and often exceeding - EPA environmental standards.
A Superior Coating
Acrylic paint is expected to last 5 to 10 years, and that's only if it is applied correctly,
and latex paint lasts less time! Painters often cut corners causing paint to wear out sooner. Paint wears out
quickly because it lacks crucial properties needed to withstand harsh weather and the beating it takes from
the sun. Four critical properties are needed; ,
,
and the ability to . Regular paint is not durable because it
lacks some of these properties. It may look good after being first applied but soon looses its effectiveness.
What makes Liquid Vinyl Siding™ unique is that it possesses ALL FOUR crucial properties.
While conventional paint may look thick in the bucket, it is often 74% liquid. Once applied, that liquid evaporates,
leaving only a fraction of solid material to shield your home. This thin layer is why traditional paint breaks
down so quickly. A typical coat of paint is tissue paper thin, about 1/1,000 inch thick. In comparison, a sheet
of common copy paper is about 4/1,000 inch thick, four times thicker! This is why paint wears out so
quickly and cannot adequately protect surfaces. Liquid Vinyl is a high viscosity coating consisting of
almost 70% solid matter. This ultra thick coating provides decades of protection. The vinyl resins
within the coating allow for breathability while simultaneously shedding water. This dual action prevents
moisture from becoming trapped, effectively stopping mold growth inside the home. With over 600% elasticity,
Liquid Vinyl is able to bridge a gap up to 1/8 inch. By sealing these cracks and openings, the system eliminates
drafts and can improve the home's energy efficiency.
